Location and Directions

Traveling to the Environmental Education, Science and Technology Bldg. (EESAT) at the University of North Texas

The Elm Fork Natural Heritage Museum is located on the second floor of the Environmental Sciences Building (EESAT) in room 291.


From Fort Worth:

  • North on I-35W approximately 35 miles.
  • As you enter outskirts of Denton, take I-35E back towards Dallas.
  • Exit immediately at Exit 466B North Texas Boulevard - stay in left lane.
  • Cross over freeway and continue straight on North Texas Boulevard.

From Dallas:

  • Go north on I-35E approx. 38 miles.
  • Exit 466B North Texas Boulevard; turn right at stop light at Exxon service station.
  • See CAMPUS section below.

From Gainesville:

  • Go south on I-35.
  • Take I-35E toward Dallas.
  • Exit 466B North Texas Boulevard. Stay in the left lane.
  • Cross over freeway and continue straight on North Texas Boulevard.

CAMPUS:

  • Continue on North Texas Boulevard to 2nd stop sign at West Hickory (Speed Limit is 20).
  • Turn right on W. Hickory and go 1 ½ blocks (past Avenue D).
  • Turn right into EESAT parking lot.
  • Park in Visitor Parking (slots in the middle of the lot).
  • Go into the Atrium and ask at the Information Stand or IAS office (Rm. 215 at top of stairs) for a Visitor
    Pass. Return to car and hang Visitor Pass on rear view mirror.

Suggested Bus Route:

From I-35E South:

  • . Exit Bonnie Brae – stay on service road, cross over Bonnie Brae.
  • Turn right on Oak – stay to the right as the road crosses over Bonnie Brae it become Hickory.
  • Continue on Hickory through one stop sign (North Texas Boulevard) to Avenue D.
  • Turn right on Avenue D and go one block.
  • Turn left on Mulberry.
  • Turn left into Parking lot.

From I-35W South:

  • Exit Oak – then follow steps 2 – 6 above.


From I-35 North:

  • Exit Oak/Airport and turn left under I-35 – then follow steps 2 – 6 above.


ATTN BUS DRIVERS:

  • Unload in the marked Bus Drop off lane only.
  • Park over by Fouts Field, as indicated on the UNT CAMPUS Map.
